Spremberg, 22. April 2020

The Paper Mill in Spremberg by the Hamburger Containerboard donates for the hospital of Spremberg 4.000 mouth-nose-protective masks and 10.000 milliliters of disinfectants. In the current exceptional situation is social commitment and regional help quiet appreciable. The Hamburger Containerboard as a part of the international Prinzhorn Holding thinks local and supported the region. Operations director Arno Liendl and the Head of Administration Jana Derno award on Wednesday, 22. April 2020 the donation to the Operation director of the hospital of Spremberg Kathrin Moebius and her team.

With this action shows the Paper Mill Spremberg her social commitment for the region. At the same time, it is a huge thank you to the employees of the hospital Spremberg for their permanent work in this exceptional situation. Also in the near future the situation will stay tense for the staff of the hospital. In order for the employees to be able to carry out their work as usual, they urgently need the usual equipment. In particular, with equipment such as mouth-nose-protective masks and disinfectant we will help employees and patient. With this help the Hamburger Containerboard Spremberg makes a contribution that the live in the Lausitz comes back to normality. The current ongoing situation alone will have a big impact to the economy and social live for the entire state. It will be quiet hard to come back to the normal live without restrictions. In particular, for small retail stores, bars, restaurants and self-employed it will be difficult to assert yourself in this situation. For this reason, everybody should develop a local empathy to keep the economy alive. Every civilian should adhere to the federal government´s regulations on dealing with other people. Just with cohesion we could ensure the current restrictions are relaxed.

With this donation the Hamburger Containerboard shows off a big sign that local commitment has an enormous meaning. Especially during the ongoing COVID-19-Crisis we all have to stick together. Without common commitment and a respectful handling, we cannot defeat the pandemic.
