Quality Standards

The Management Policy of Hamburger Hungaria defines that the fundamental objectives of the operation are to satisfy customer needs meeting highest international standards, to ensure the wellbeing of the employees and the consistent responsibility for society and the environment. Hamburger Hungaria Ltd. regards these objectives as equally important and strives to maintain their harmonious unity.

A certified quality management system (ISO 9001) was introduced at the Dunaújváros site in 1994; in 2009, following the commissioning of new paper machine (PM7), Hamburger Hungaria also began its operation in accordance with international norms and standards, continuously supervising and developing management systems, activities, products and services. Accordingly, in 2012 the company was given an integrated Quality & Environmental Management System Certificate (ISO 9001 for quality management established in 2010, and ISO 14001 for environmental management audited in 2011), as well as OHSAS 18001 Certificate for meeting requirements under the Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

It has workgroups in 43 countries, and enjoys the support of several international environmental (WWF, Greenpeace, Robin Wood), social and professional organisations.
