Quality Standards

For the Hamburger Group, product quality does not simply involve outstanding paper characteristics. It also comprises excellent service, ongoing optimisation of production and a dedicated personal point of contact for the customer. Working jointly with our customer clientele, we are always seeking to make further improvements. The Europe-wide success of our products confirms the wisdom of our approach.

 

Product Quality

The excellent printing flexibility and outstanding running characteristics of our papers are achieved by careful selection of the relevant raw materials, a qualified production process and intensive quality controls. We check the most important parameters in the paper machines by means of contactless sensors, which we calibrate regularly on the basis of our laboratory measurement.

 

FSC

The individual sites of Hamburger Containerboard are certified according to the rules of the FSC® Standard, and have been summarised in a Multi-Site Certification (FSC®-C106599) since 01.07.2015. In this way, we are making a contribution to responsible forest management. We are audited annually by the independent certification company GFA.

Customer Support

Via their point of contact, each customer acquires a direct line to production, allowing us also to meet lead time requirements submitted at short notice. All standard products are immediately available, and we guarantee speed of service second to none. In addition, we provide on-going support to all our customers through our dedicated Technical Customer Service team.

 

Process Optimisation

In particular, as a result of our dialogue with customers, we develop ideas designed to improve our products. This goes hand in hand with optimisation of the production processes. In addition, we regularly seek to identify potential savings in our use of energy and raw materials and to improve our products and processes in terms of their impact on the environment.

 

Personnel Development

We value and ensure an innovative working atmosphere and encourage and promote employees who demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach. Performance incentives, training courses and continuing education programmes increase motivation and lead to greater team spirit. We place great importance on promoting employee health and ensuring our employees act responsibly and in keeping with our environmental commitments.
