Due to its difficult economic situation, the Dunaújváros Hospital launched a call for grants in 2022 for companies and institutions to carry out their key equipment purchases. By the end of the year a significant fundraising support had been raised through community collaboration.
The biggest item was an ultrasound machine for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department, the purchase of which was facilitated by Hamburger Containerboard Dunaujvaros. As part of the Prinzhorn Group, which is 170 years old in 2023, Hamburger Hungaria believes in the long-term, continuous development. This strategic thinking applies not only to the environmental activities as the company's business model, but also to the management of human resources.
As an important employer in the region, Hamburger Containerboard Dunaujvaros always strives to make Dunaújváros and its surroundings an attractive area for employees, with available services for relatively high life quality as well. What could be a nobler goal than helping to bring to life the future generation of the region. In this spirit, Attila Bencs, General Manager welcomed the initiative of the local hospital and included a grant for an ultrasound machine in the company's patronage programme "For the Future Generation".
