Hamburger Containerboard in Numbers
The Hamburger Containerboard has its origins in 1853, when its founder Wilhelm Hamburger set up a rag paper production facility in Pitten.
The companies that belong to the group are now among the leading manufacturers of high-quality corrugated base paper in Europe.
They produce over three million tons of paper every year, which is made exclusively from waste paper.
At 10 locations in 5 countries, the Hamburger Containerboard produces brown and white uncoated papers, white coated papers and plasterboard.
Our mission is to offer our European customers and partners more than just a complete range of high-quality products. Even in the past, concerted thinking and action were already the foundations for successful growth of the company and the guarantee that we are offering our customers best quality and best service in the long term. Our distribution system philosophy - a one-stop shop - offers our customers a market- and future-oriented range of high-quality corrugated case material products.
Innovative steps in technology and production, combined with a high regard for ecological processes, have become key elements of our corporate strategy. Our principles of acting with “flexibility - commitment - customer orientation” allow all our employees to pick up on the customers’ wishes quickly and process them with a high level of efficiency.
Our AustroLiner, RiegerCoat, SpreeWhite and SpreeGips brands are well known and valued all over the world. Expansion of the product range to include light surface weight products rounds off our range of case material products from recovered paper.
