The first waste paper collection in 2021 took place on February 27; it was finally allowed to be collected again. Of course, like last year, in compliance with the mandatory hygiene and corona regulations. The Protestant youth in Horst has once again proven how hardworking they are. With all the physical effort, paper was stacked and pressed. A big thank you also to the company Lobbe, who organized the outward and return journey on the same day by providing 4 containers! The driver demonstrated a certain amount of driving skills, because the residents' parking spaces were still occupied at 10.30 a.m. The busy traffic of the fully loaded trucks and cars of the sponsors with paper did the rest. Many elderly people also brought their small package of paper. The effort of all those involved resulted in an impressive amount of 25,900 kg. In conclusion, we can say that we are closer than ever as neighbors, especially in corona times. Old and young show in a beautiful way how this can work.
