Hamburger Hungaria Ltd on the Hungarian TOP500 List

HVG, a Hungarian weekly economic magazine, publishes a TOP500 list each year, which is a league table of the largest Hungarian companies. Hamburger Hungaria Ltd has been in the first third of this renowned list from the very beginning and has achieved more and more prestigious positions.

The first full production year of the paper mill of Dunaujvaros was the 2010 economic year, when Hamburger Hungaria Ltd immediately took the 138th position on the list of Hungarian companies with the largest revenues. Having improved its position by 2 or 3 rankings every year since then, it has earned the 115th position on the revenue list published in November 2019 complied on the basis of the consolidated economic data of 2018.

Owing to its continuous developments, the company has attained ranking number 59 on the list of Hungarian companies producing the largest added value. 

Even more prestigious is its 45th position on the top list of Hungarian companies earning the largest profit after tax. 

With regard to its sector ranking, Hamburger Containerboard Dunaujvaros is the list leader of the light industrial sector each year, both in terms of revenue and profit, coming before Tetra Pak and Dunapack, the two other of the top three regarding their light industrial revenue, and overtaking Becton Dickinson Hungary Ltd and Dunafin Co.  the 2nd and 3rd with the largest profit in the sector.

In Fejér County the paper mill of Dunaujvaros is the 4th company with the largest revenue in the county behind Hankook, Arconic-Köfém Ltd and Harman Becker Ltd.

Although Hamburger Hungaria is not likely to come up with record figures for the year of 2019, it can expect a good revenue and profitability, thus it can anticipate a prestigious position on the lists appearing in the autumn of 2020.
