It is a real challenge for many parents to find meaningful activities for their children during the long summer holiday. Hamburger Hungaria Ltd wanted to help them with organizing “Paper Magic” summer camp

together with the Hungarian Paper Museum, for children in and around Dunaújváros, including the seedlings of the employees as well. The camp took place in the company's visitor centre.

The children took part in colourful paper-related programs in the creative camp: paper folding, paper cutting, paper design, papermaking and watermarking made their everyday life varied in addition to skill games and quizzes. Due to the infection risk was held a new mask painting competition as a special program point this year.

The selective waste collection was another highlight of the camp, in conjunction with the paper topic. Due to the short films about waste paper recycling and other curiosities of the visitor centre children could grasp the business activity and philosophy of Prinzhorn Group, the recycling circular economy that creates value from waste.

We are pleased to see that more and more responsible employers are organizing summer camps in the area who are happy to put a view of the Hamburger Containerboard Dunaújváros Visitor Centre and of the Hungarian Paper Museum on their agenda.

The campers and all children in general from the region participate in the guided tours alongside with the papermaking program free of charge, thanks to Hamburger Hungaria Ltd.

With this patronage, the company, in addition to help families in the neighbourhood, is aiding to shape an environmentally conscious attitude for the next generation, so the firm will create a tradition of hosting summer camps.

We will!
